Frosted Patio Party Lights
Design & Instructions by Pattie Donham, Host of Craft Studios

Save those plastic drink bottles for Craft Wars, and you can make Frosted Patio Party Lights to hang from an umbrella or the trees.

Hanging Lights

Supplies:
Gatorade Bottles, with labels pulled off, and washed thoroughly
String of Large Christmas Lights with Roof Clips
Krylon® Frosted Sprays (Blue & Green)
Scissors
Stencil Cutter

How To:
1. Cut around the center of the bottles with scissors to separate the top from the bottom. Then cut scallops along the edges with scissors.
2. Using stencil cutter, melt holes in the bottoms of the bottles the same size as the light sockets.
3. In a well-ventilated area, spray the outside of the bottles with Frosted Sprays. Let dry completely.
4. Clip the bottle tops to the lights, using the roof clips. Add the bottle bottoms by unscrewing the bulbs, place the bottle over the socket, and replacing the bulb.
5. Note: It looks nice to have the same color bulbs to match the paint colors.

Torchéres

Supplies:

1 Liter Bottles, with labels pulled off, and washed thoroughly
Broom Handles
Krylon® Frosted Sprays (Blue & Green)
Scissors & Rubber bands
Glass Votives & Tea Lights

How To:
1. Cut the bottles in half, and then cut a scallop edge in the top half of the bottle.
2. In a well-ventilated area, spray the outside of the bottles with Frosted Sprays. Let dry completely.
3. Put a rubber band around the threaded end of the handle. Push the bottle over the rubber bands to hold in place.
4. Push the torchére into the ground. Place a glass votive inside, and add a tea light.

Table Lights

How To:
1. Use the bottom half of the 1-Liter bottles. Cut a scallop edge around the rim.
2. In a well-ventilated area, spray the outside of the bottles with Frosted Sprays. Let dry completely.
3. Place pebbles or sand in the bottom for stability in the wind, and then place a tea light in the center.

DO NOT LEAVE CANDLES UNATTENDED, OR USE AROUND CHILDREN!!!!
